Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (Australia)
The ABRSM has a representative in Western Australia.  Exam syllabuses are down-loadable from the website.

Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) WA State Office
The AMEB is a federated structure with an office in each state that administers all aspects of the examinations for all instruments. The site gives information on the syllabuses and syllabus changes, examinations and examiners, publications, teacher support and performances. The State Library holds a hard copy of the Manual of Syllabus. We are beginning to list the pieces we hold, with a direct link through to our catalogue. Check out the Piano and Flute syllabuses.

Australian National Association of Teachers of Singing Inc.
ANATS WA Chapter news and a listing of vocal teachers.

Australian Society of Music Education (WA Chapter)
ASME's purpose is to encourage and advance music education at all levels, whether it be in the community or as a profession. ASME WA conducts professional development courses.

Curriculum Council of WA            
The Curriculum Council is responsible for the development and implementation of the curriculum framework for WA schools. Find here the syllabuses for Years K-10 and Senior Secondary school music courses.

School of Instrumental Music
The Department of Education and Training's School of Instrumental Music services over 400 primary and secondary Western Australian Government schools. It provides consultancy, instrumental instruction and ensemble direction, staffing allocation and management, an instrumental loan, maintenance and repair service, a resource centre and varied enrichment activities for students.This site also lists the schools in WA that offer the SIM program.

Suzuki Talent Education Association of Australia (WA) Inc.
The STEAA (WA) offers courses in violin, viola, cello, voice, piano, guitar, flute and early childhood using the "Mother Tongue" method of teaching by Dr Shinichi Suzuki whereby students are taught to listen, imitate and repeat.

TAFEWA
TAFE offers a Certificate in Music that aims to develop practical skills in music performance and composition. The course in offered at both Central and Great Southern TAFE campuses.

Trinity College London (Australia)
TCL is the leading international music examinations board. Trinity Guildhall runs its own operation in Australia through its State Managers.

University of WA School of Music
UWA School of music specialises in performance, composition, music education and musicology at both undergraduate and graduate level. There are also classes for the general public called Discover Music and various Junior Music School classes to cater for children from 18 months to 12 years old.

WA Music Teachers Association (Inc.)
WAMTA is the professional association for private studio teachers. Search here for teachers of any instrument in any location within Western Australia.

Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA)
WAAPA, at Edith Cowan University offers courses in classical and jazz performance, contemporary music, composition, music studies, music technology and music theatre.
