Family History
The Family History Subject Specialists generally give tours and talks on the first Wednesday of each month from February though to November with other events being arranged from time to time.
National Family History Week events are planned for Wednesday 1 August to Friday 3 August this year. Watch this space for further details.

Genealogy Tour
This tour is aimed at beginners and introduces key family history resources in both the Genealogy Centre on the 1st floor and the Battye Library on the 3rd floor.

Introduction to Findmypast
This course covers Findmypast UK, Findmypast Ireland and Findmypast Australasia and outlines top content with plenty of search tips to make your searching more successful.

Getting the best out of Ancestry
Ancestry.com is one of the major subscription databases for family history research. The library edition is available at the State Library and in public libraries throughout WA. Learn about the databases within Ancestry and how to search effectively for better results.
When: Wednesday 4 July, 2.00 - 3.30pm
Where: Midwest Room (Mezzanine floor). Go through the gate into The Place and turn left.
